I am curious to see which is a more preferred method for roasters as well as drinkers a like. Both give off a similar flavour but I find more flavor and richness in the drum method. I believe hot air roasting removes some of the flavour profiles.

I am not sure if either actually makes for a different taste or quality. Everything I read it is mostly down to the preference of the roaster. I don't have enough experience with these methods to know. I am sure you can taste slight differences with certain beans.

Okay, that is helpful input. I would imagine some taste the difference and others just don't. It makes sense this is down to the roasting method itself and who is doing it. Thanks!
