I would imagine there is a process and measure in place to ensure people are getting good beans for consumption. With organic beans, they are checked for chemicals involved in their grown and harvest. Is there anything like this for non-organic?

There are various certifications for coffee. The main ones being Organic, Fair Trade, Bird Friendly, Carbon Neutral, and Rainforest Alliance. So you can get certification in other areas that aren't considered "organic".

Oh right, I have seen some of these labels before on coffee and other food products. I just didn't think anything of it. So something can be considered bird friendly and not be organic basically. Thanks for the information!
