I always get my coffee on the go. I have not invested in a proper machine for making the stuff at home just yet. That being said, I sometimes have a craving for some and I am just not in the mood to go out. I decided to give instant coffee a go. I know for some, it is a religious sin but I am not a coffee snob! I care about flavor and it perking me up.
I bought a few different brands I found at the shop and of the the ones I tried, Nescafé Original is the only one I liked! I know there are some flavored options I would probably enjoy but those will be better for winter. I just wanted plain ol' coffee for now. I think the flavor is nice though it can be a bit of a pain to mix. Never finish your mug off as there will be granules in the bottom and they are not pleasant!
Is it as good as fresh? No! But does it taste nice in a pinch? Absolutely.
I have yet to try instant coffee. Everyone I know says it is terrible and should be completely avoided. Some of the mixed blends like the instant cappuccinos sound nice though! I don't know if Nescafe makes anything like this.
Bleh! I am not a fan of instant! I actually tried this in my teens as thought all coffee tasted like this. No wonder it put me off from it. It is just very chalky and bitter to me. Maybe certain brands and flavours make a difference, not so. I would rather have the real stuff.

It has a lot to do with the brands and what you do with them. Most instant will taste a bit off compared to fresh, that is the same with most things. I think it is worth trying again. It is great if you need it in a pinch!
