I found a few brands I am considering trying, two of which are sourced from Jamaica. I have never had a Jamaican coffee before, or a bean for that matter... Not to my knowledge anyways! I know some places do blends. Do these beans typically have a set flavour?
I would say they have a sweeter flavour compared to others I have tried. A bit of nuttiness and some rich chocolate undertones. I think these beans are great for mixed coffee drinks that are on the sweeter side as it compliments it well.ย

Good to know, thanks! I was not sure if it would be a bean for me but I tend to enjoy the ones that have a chocolate tone to them. It allows for a clean flavour without the bitterness.ย

I have very sensitive taste buds so things often taste different for me than most others. I find that Jamaican beans have more of a roasted macadamia flavour. Not just a standard nutty flavour but more layered. I do get the taste of a rich dark chocolate (unsweetened) as well from these beans.ย
