I do have a mesh pan though it has never been used for roasting beans! I have seen some people use them but it doesn't seem to be a very common practice for roasting beans, not unless I am calling it by the wrong name? I was wondering if something like this could work or would work for a very small trial roast. I want to get a feel for things before I do a larger one in a stainless pan or in the oven.ย
Mesh pan? Do you mean one of those over the stove poppers for popcorn? I have not seen one of those in ages! I believe my nan may still have one. I would advise you to just use a standard pan. If you have an older one, use that. You want to just use the same pan specifically for roasting beans. If you don't have an old one, try to find one used. I find it works best in stainless steel for an even heating job. Ceramic ones don't do as good a job.ย

Maybe? I don't recall it being used for a popcorn popper. Maybe I am not properly describing it. I will just stick to a standard pan. I will have to check my local secondhand shop and see if there are any pans available.ย
